Emily Magone Releases Limited Edition Collection for the Kew Royal Botanical Gardens
Emily Magone has handpainted a limited edition collection of silk scarves for the upcoming Kew Gardens Orchid Festival. Each piece is unique, painted with a vibrant orchid and an abstract wash.
There will be thirty-two scarves available in the gift shop at Kew Gardens during the month-long event. The 2016 Orchid Festival – A Carnival of Tropical Colour at Kew Gardens will be held February 6th through March 6th in the Princess of Wales Conservatory at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew in London, England.
Magone, an artist born and raised in NW Montana, currently creates from her studio in Northern England. Her art has been awarded and featured internationally, and she’s explored natural beauty all over the world. The Pacific Northwest, along with her NW Montana roots, most heavily influences her dreams and work.
“I am honored to be a part of this event and am over the moon about how the silks turned out. The orchid is such a beautiful subject and it was a joy working with Kew to create these,” says Magone.
